PRIMAL X is a new series within the label United Identities. The series releases music exclusively by Utrecht-based DJ and producer Thrills in +41. The platform, founded by United Identities boss Carista, draws influence from primal energy on the dancefloor derived from rhythm and repetition, as echoed on the inaugural EP ‘PRIMAL X 01’.
“Nostalgia and futurism in electronic music have fascinated me a lot throughout the years as a producer and DJ,” says Thrills in +41. “So I approached ‘PRIMAL X 01’ with classic club and contemporary sounds in mind. When creating it, I aimed to build tension with dissonant sounds that cause a slightly anticipatory feel.”
