biography

Idilay is a classically trained musician turned DJ. Her sets are as emotionally rich as they are rhythmically infectious. With roots in music that run deep, she began playing the violin at just four years old. Her musical upbringing also included piano and viola, laying the foundation for the depth and discipline that now shapes her unique sound behind the decks.

Over the past three years, Idilay fell deeply in love with electronic music. What started as nights out at UK Garage parties at Parallel—hosted by the collective Pardon—soon evolved into a full-blown passion. She dove into techno, breakbeat, acid, electro and house.

House isn’t just a genre for Idilay; it’s part of her identity. Growing up, her mother would fill the living room or car with tracks from Robin S, Paul Johnson, Inner City, and Jaydee. That early exposure engraved house music into her soul. Now, with a deep appreciation for the grooves of ’90s house, she brings that same energy and nostalgia to her sets.

Idilay’s mixing style is defined by playing tracks with a longer structure, making the storytelling one of the most important aspects. She combines all kinds of (sub)genres into her sets. Whether she’s playing warm house cuts, gritty breakbeats, or acid-laced rhythms, each set is a carefully built journey—one grounded in her classical roots and love for dance music.
