As an entrepreneur and DJ, Lola Edo’s contribution to Amsterdam’s vibrant nightlife and (queer) community goes beyond mixing tracks. Lola is most in her element behind the decks and is just as happy on the dancefloor. She’s the co-founder and driving force behind Pamela, the city’s iconic queer bar. She runs the sex positive FLINTA party RubiCollective together with Angelboy, and Lola has been named a RRFM resident where she showcases her broad music taste that she likes to ‘genre blend’.
Lola Edo’s DJ sets reflect her diverse musical background and are rich with rhythm and range. Genre-spanning and adventurous, her mixes traverse techno, acid and electro house, African bass, breaks, and more. Each set is a carefully curated ride, filled with captivating layers, emotive melodies, and a captivating blend of energy that keeps the dance floor moving. She delivers this all with a big personality and smile from behind the decks, while reading the room and always maintaining the right vibe.
Guest mixes for Boiler Room, IsBurning, Festimi and Shanti Celeste’s NTS show, prove her distinctive sound is both intuitive and captivating. Over the last years Lola Edo played for Dutch institutes like De School, RAUM, WAS., and Garage Noord as well as many (inter)national festivals including DGTL, Lowlands, Dekmantel Selectors and queer parties such as HeSheThey, Gay Haze x Spek in Brussels, Adonis at The Cause in London and Pinkwashing for Macadam in Nantes, and there’s much more to come.
